Ana Valenzuela is an Associate Professor at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, CUNY and Visiting Associate Professor at Universidad Pompeu Fabra. Before moving to NYC, she taught at the Haas School of Business (UC Berkeley), Santa Clara University and San Francisco State University for several years. She has also served as a faculty member at the China-Europe International Business School, Hong Kong Science and Technology University and INSEAD.

Prof. Valenzuela began her professional career with AC Nielsen, serving as a marketing consultant for multi-country projects dealing with consumer goods markets. In addition, she has worked as a marketing research specialist for PubliEspana (TV5), The Advisory Board Company, Hello America and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Her research deals with issues on cross-cultural consumer behavior, negotiations, and biases in behavioral decision-making. She has published widely, her articles appearing in numerous leading journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, International Marketing Review, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and Journal of Consumer Psychology.

Prof. Valenzuela holds a Ph.D. from University of Madrid, Autonoma and an MBA from Georgetown University. She was a Research Fellow at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley for two years.
